CREATIVE SERVICES / EVENT DESIGN

Event design and production are a specific area of strength for Hello!. We recognize that the
Event Design discipline is so diverse and ever-changing that it’s impossible to remain cutting-
edge without focus. We have a dedicated department we call “Creative Services” whose sole
responsibility is the design and production of themed events. In addition to our local resources,
there are 25 other Creative Services professionals in our organization who are constantly sharing
new ideas and concepts with each other.

Employing this expertise is unusual for a DMC. For most DMCs, the Account Executive is responsible
for being the “expert” for all hospitality services available in their market: transportation, dining,
venues, activities, tours, etc., as well as themed events. The result is that the Account Executive
depends entirely on a theme prop partner for creativity; meaning they send the event specifications
to a partner, who creates the proposal focusing on the profitability of their décor inventory. The
DMC then adds a mark-up and incorporates it into their proposal.
