3.3 DESCRIPTION OF THE ROBERT TRENT JONES JR. COURSE
Hole 11
The bunkers in front of the green are deep and tricky. Therefore it is prefer- able to land the ball on the left side of the green or make sure to take enough club to carry the bunkers.
A great target for the drive on this par 5. On the second shot, be aware of the lake in the middle and the forest boundary along the entire left side. Laying up, short of this water hazard or place the shot just short of the fair- way bunkers 70-80 meters from the green. However, carefully aiming the placement of the ag due to signi - cant elevation changes in the green and the gathering hollow in the center of the putting surface.
A very tricky green. If the pin is in the front, it is recommended to take half a club extra and land on the back of the green and take a two-put for a par.
A long, serpentine par 5 will de- mand a drive just far enough to carry the “grass wall”. The next stroke is signi cantly more dif cult and blind. Place the ball in the arcing fairway between 100-150 metres from the green which allows the opportunity to see the front portion of the green. Keep your approach shot short of the pin as this green slopes strongly from back to front.
