To recognise and use proper and common nouns/naming words.
Way to Work (Means)
1. Review the previous lessons.
2. Read a short story to the children and let them put up their hands when they hear a
naming word.
3. Give pairs of children pots of common and proper nouns to sort into two piles.
4. Let the children complete the worksheet after explaining it to them.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children should be increasingly confident in recognising and using common and
proper nouns.
