the formal board members in order to more effectively govern the
organization. The Board of Directors shall conduct an annual review of
the Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board function shall be to: 1) Advise in areas of
expertise; and 2) Support the Foundation in fundraising endeavors.
The Advisory Board will meet at the discretion of the Board of Directors
during the first and fourth quarters of each year.
Section 11. Emeritus status may be conferred upon past
Board members for recognition of distinguished service, dedication to
the Board and significant financial contribution to the foundation.
A. Specific Criteria:
• Served at least 6 years on the Board of Directors which do not
have to run consecutive.
• Demonstrated exemplary commitment through personal
leadership, responsibility and fundraising to the IEACF.
• Made significant personal financial contributions of at least
$25,000.00.
• Secured significant financial support from other sources of at
least $50,000.00.
B. Candidate Consideration- Three vital questions should be
considered for an Emeritus Board Member Candidate:
• Would this organization have existed without this person?
• Has the individual created a legacy that will last for years or even
decades and
• Is this someone whose contribution is so great you hope that
others will aspire to meet the standard created?
C. Duties:
• Distinctive contributions included promoting the mission, vision,
and values of the organization and engaging in fundraising.
