Contacts are individual people with whom you have a relationship.

Contacts may integrate with the contacts in Microsoft Outlook, so it is important to understand that
when fields on the contact record are updated, that change may synchronize to Outlook.

Key data elements of a contact include:

Full Name - Mandatory Field
Name is a field that is automatically generated from a combination of First Name and Last
Name. The name field shows when relating other records to the contact such as the regarding field
on activities and the primary contact on the account.

Email - Email address for Contact
Email address must contain @ symbol
Duplicate email addresses are not allowed in Dynamics

Sync to Marketo - ???

Account Name
Generally, indicates the organization and location where this contact is located.

Sync to Outlook
Check this box if you would like the contact synced to your Outlook Contacts

Address

If the contacts address is the same as the account, select either Same as Consignee or
Same as Mailing. The Address field will be automatically populated.

Contact Profile
Job Title field is a look up of standard job titles
If the job title is not sufficient the Customer Job Title is an open text field. .

Spoken Language and Mailing Language are required fields to complete on the contact.
These fields are important for other functions such as Customer Service and Marketing.

There are several “Notification” options where the contact can be specified to receive various
information. Contract, Price Change, and Price File Distrbution.
Also an EDI/SOL Contact can be specified here.
