Catherine Castro is President & Chief Operations Officer
of the Guam Chamber of Commerce, a nine decades
strong business support organization with over 450
businesses, individuals and like-minded organizations
as its membership base. The Chamber’s Board of Direc-
tors appointed Catherine as President on October 8,
2015. She was appointed the organization’s first Vice
President & Chief Operations Officer in 2010. She directs
and oversees the Chamber’s daily operations including
staff and volunteer management and oversees the
areas of administration, finance, technology, member-
ship, government advocacy, marketing and communi-
cations as well as the various programs, events and
community outreach activities of the organization. Pro-
vides strategic direction, vision, and management for
the programs and staff of the Guam Chamber of Com-
merce. Develops new initiatives and partnerships with
other business and community organizations to
achieve goals and objectives as outlined by the Cham-
ber Board of Directors.

In her tenure, she established two new Committees for
the Guam Chamber of Commerce: The Guam Young
Professionals and the Chamber Business Women's Net-
work. Both Committees offer professional development
opportunities as well as youth outreach to support
self-confidence and workforce development. She envi-

President on Guam with Marine Corps Activity Guam. This pro-
Guam Chamber of Commerce gram continues to grow and be a successful holiday
giving event for Guam and the Marianas Islands. 2019's
toy collection efforts exceeded 10,000 toys and involved
over 100 collection sites and 12 high schools.

In 1989 Catherine received her bachelor’s degree in Psy-
chology from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Ange-
les, California. She earned a teaching certification from
the University of Guam in 2007. Catherine enjoys voice
over work/acting and has voiced a number of local
radio/television commercials as well as corporate identi-
ty/image videos. She is the Co-Coordinator of the Life-
Teen program at Santa Teresita Catholic Church (since
2014) and sings in her parish choir (since 1991).
