LASERekha was inspired by an action sequence in one of the
movies from the Mission Impossible franchise where a precious
ornament was being protected by lasers! We brainstormed and
researched to try and make this idea into a feasible product and
in the process we came across a video on YouTube that was a
tutorial on how to make a laser maze. We were amazed by how
cool it was and how such simple technology was used in such an
effective way. So we took this idea, that was made just for amuse-
ment and turned it into a real-life product that is now helping
people be safer and giving them peace of mind. It is a tripwire
system based on laser detection which operates by projecting a
beam of invisible laser light across a doorway or window open-
ing. When the light is broken, it activates a buzzer or alarm. This
system uses the combination of LASER light and LDR (light
dependent resistor) sensor. The concept is quite similar to what
we see in movies where antique, priceless ornaments are
protected under laser lights. As someone crosses these lights, an
alarm sounds to indicate unauthorized presence.
The name LASERekha was derived from the famous tale
‘Ramayana’ where the wife of Ram, Seeta was left under the
protection of ‘Lakshman Rekha’. Rekha in a Hindi word that
translates to LINE in English. LASERekha can be called as the
modern day contraption of the Lakhshman Rekha. This name is
really popular amongst our customers and the people who know
about us as the Indian audience understands the full functional-
ity of the product just by hearing ‘LASERekha’.
