Words of Encouragement thanks to Meridian
Meridian Health Plan of Michigan gave 142 hand-written cards to
encourage and support children in foster care entering the new school
year! Cards were put into backpacks and distributed across the state to
the kids who needed them.
Thank You Volunteers at World Refugee Day Picnic
Volunteer groups including American Axle and Manufacturing, DTE,
Rocket Companies, and the YMCA volunteered to bring activities and
fun to refugee children at the World Refugee Day Picnic 2024.
Gameday at Gateshead
Ascend Church hosted a
Lansing Lugnuts Recruiting gameday for seniors at
Thanks to our friends at Delta Dental, Gateshead Affordable Living
Samaritas had a table in the in Detroit, bringing joy and
concourse of a Lansing Lugnuts camaraderie (and new

Backpack Donations
Over 735 Stuffed Backpacks
were provided to children in
care for the 2024 school
year! In addition, many
programs donated individual
backpacks and school
supplies, helping ensure that
children in care were able to
