Barbara Maes Marv learned about Samaritas at his church – but his true connection began
Marilyn Nussdorfer when his grandparents, immigrants from Poland, settled in Alpena. Inspired by
Agnes Orman their resilience, Marvin felt a natural pull toward Samaritas' Refugee Services.
“I was especially interested in helping immigrants establish a life in the U.S.,”
