GIVING IN ACTION

Kind people give to Samaritas in a variety of ways. We are grateful for all the people that support us, with a personal check
or an online gift. It is truly a blessing. During this busy season of gift-giving, we want to share some non-cash gift options
that can also save you some financial headaches.

                Gifts of Appreciated Stock
The rate of taxes on your gains can be eye-opening. Instead, consider
giving a few shares to Samaritas to help support the many programs
that are near and dear to your heart while avoiding those significant
                capital gains penalties.

                IRA Gifts
If you are 70-1/2 or older, you may make qualified charitable
distributions (QCDs) of up to $100,000 directly to Samaritas from
your IRA to avoid recognizing income on the distribution. If you are
73 or older, QCDs directly from your IRA can also count toward
satisfying your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
Your gift can be as generous as you choose - up to $100,000.

                Donor Advised Fund Gifts
Directing a gift from your Donor Advised Fund can be simple,
yet meaningful way to support Samaritas.

                Make Us Your Beneficiary
Naming Samaritas as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or
IRA will help your legacy live on through Samaritas' programs and
services within our shared community. Assets inherited from an
IRA can be a highly taxed gift to family members. Those with a
heart for keeping Michigan's families intact may consider
including Samaritas as a beneficiary. You will also become a
                member of the Heritage Society.

                Include Us in Your Will

Including Samaritas as a beneficiary in your will is a popular way to
ensure your legacy of support is honored after you have passed on.
With this option you can choose a specific percentage of your estate
or dollar amount for Samaritas to inherit.
