AMSA NATIONAL CONVENTION CAREERS EXPO

RCPA was well represented at the Career Expo during the Australian Medical Students’ Association Convention. Dr Robert Norton, Dr Imran Naaz and Dr Sarah Cherian volunteered their time as did the wonderful Townsville registrars Drs Fiona Parsonson and Dr Katie Cronin.

A HEART WITH MARY SHEPPARD
RCPA, Surry Hills, New South Wales
The College brought Professor Mary Sheppard from the CRY Cardiovascular Pathology Unit at St George’s Medical School in the UK to deliver an Australasian version of her cardiac course. She demonstrated cardiac dissection and gave eight presentations. Topics included Investigation of Sudden Cardiac Death, Obesity and the Heart, Post Mortem Examination of Postoperative Cardiac Deaths and Pathology of Cardiomyopathie., concluding with Obesity and the Heart.
