RHCH Open day
Our hospital in Winchester gives pa ents access to some of the latest health treatments and technologies available but its buildings are steeped in history. We held an Open Day in the summer where the public had the chance to go behind the scenes. Special guest, former Southampton footballer Dan Harding, o cially opened the event and a wide range of ac vi es and a rac ons were available for all ages.
Tours of theatres, the kitchen and the old chapel were enjoyed by visitors, as well as viewing old artefacts including a lamp used by Florence Nigh ngale, mee ng the Pets as Therapy dogs, learning rst aid and even enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake with the trust Chaplin. Visitors also enjoyed a demonstra on of the way our decontamina on equipment works, found out about demen a, nutri on, waste and the jobs available at the Trust.
