AWMH Open Day
Our Open Day at Andover War Memorial Hospital in the summer began with the road leading up to the hospital being o cially named Henry Gamman Drive in memory of the man who donated the land that the hospital was built on 90 years ago.
Descendants of Henry Gamman joined the Mayor of Test Valley, sta and volunteers at the ceremony, cu ng a celebratory cake baked in the hospital kitchen to mark the occasion.
Lots of local people enjoyed the Open Day. Among the a rac ons on o er were tours of the opera ng theatres and the kitchens, sampling the food served to our pa ents, and the opportunity to meet our resident skeleton and learn about x-rays. The Countess of Brecknock Hospice was a- u er with ac vi es with visi ng owls, Pat Dogs, chair zumba and cake decora ng.
