Now I’m living in Devon and
                                                                                   my partner enters various
                                                                                   tournaments, I thought I
Val Norman (Abbotskerswell), Bob Weafer (Winkleigh), would go along as a player,
Wendy Manville Exeter Hospice representative, Tom Deeley, camera in hand to capture a
(Broadclyst) and Robbie Gayton (Exeter Nomads). photo of the winners and

runners up, little expecting that I would win
the event and end up on the “wrong” side
of the camera. 15 clubs attended from
Devon, Somerset & Dorset, including Mut-
           terton, Exeter Nomads, Exeter St.
           Thomas, Willand, Owlascombe, East
           Coker, Kingsteignton, Abbotskerswell,
           Woodbury, Beaford, East Huntspill and
           Broadclyst.
This annual event was staged once
again in aid of the Exeter Hospice and
raised over £500. The format was fairly 3 of the Runners Up - Dudley Cole
straightforward as all the club players were (Broadclyst), Wendy Manville of Exeter
spilt up in different fours, with a Broadclyst Hospice, Jean Petherick (East Coker)
player in each to complete the four. and Brab Hallowes (Ottery St. Mary).
