Shots difference once again decided an
“A” title, this time in the Triples. Peter &

up with a 20 - 13 win for Wales over
Scotland’s Ashley Geddes, Scott

The other match saw Ireland’s Adam,
Ryan & Philip McKeown locked in a tight
battle with England’s Chris Terry Steve
Buckett & Richard Jeffrey. After 13 of the
15 ends the scores were level at 9 shots
each but a 3 - 2 spurt from the Irish Triple
gave them a 14 - 9 victory.

match the scoring rate of the Irish..
Completing the round England faced Wales in a match that would have graced any final.
After 14 of the 15 ends there was no separating the teams at 11 shots each but the English trio
managed a vital single on the last end to win 12 - 11.
In their last end all Ireland had to do was win for the Triples title and a clean sweep of wins
but it was not to be. It looked to be plain sailing for the Welsh at 17 - 11 with two ends to go but a
three and a two got the Irish within a
whisper of a draw, just losing out 16 -
17 in the end.
England meanwhile romped
home 22 - 10 against Scotland. This
edged them one shot ahead of Wales
but four shots behind the Irish, who
took the Triples title, with England sec-
ond.
