Whilst in the Ladies Pairs, Oriel’s Vera Mohan and Christine McSherry were always in control
from the 7th end had a 12 – 9 shot win over Donegal’s Rachel McDonnell and Vanessa 21
McHugh. The over 55’s title went to Terence Patton and Valerie Witherow defeating Paul Moffett
and Lynda Lyttle 12 – 7. Patton and Witherow never looked in any danger throughout, with their op-
ponents only picking up 2 shots in the first 7 ends.
The two junior finals were outstanding games. The singles went to Devon Wallace as the 2 ju-
niors matched each other shot for shot with Wallace taking control after 12 ends to finish 12 – 10
.with a last end win over Shane West while Nathan & Zoe Minish who had the narrowist feeler gauge
win over Chloe Wilson & Lara Reaney in the Junior Pairs, on a tie end with scores at 17 – 17.Wilson
had come from 3 down after 15 ends to win a tie end. Both finals were a credit to all involved.
