Emails are sent out every month to advertise classes that are scheduled to be held for the next two months. If you are not receiving these emails, notify Leadership Development.
You may receive additional emails from Leadership Development to announce special classes being held. These may be new classes, pilot programs, or newly scheduled class sessions.
We may have to cancel classes because of low enrollment, instructor emergent situations or subsidiary priorities.
Monthly Emails
Special Email Announcements
We do send emails advertising classes that have low enrollment. We do have a minimum number of participants required for each class. This is based on the number and type of activities conducted during class and what is required for the class to be of benefit for the participants.
Class Cancellations
We do expect class participants to attend the entire duration of a class. If you know you are going to be late or have to leave early, please reschedule. We cannot give participants credit for attending a class if they do not stay for the entire session. Unexpected situations do occur, and in these cases, always check with the class instructor.
Attendance
The Core I and Core II Leadership Academy courses are not on the McLaren University catalog for self-enrollment. These courses must be assigned. Non-management employees are welcome to attend any of the leadership classes. If you have an employee who you believe has leadership potential or who would benefit by attending any of our classes, call Leadership Development. With your permission, we will assign the specified class or classes.
Non-Management Employees
Elective Leadership Academy courses are optional and can be accessed for enrollment via the McLaren University “Catalog” tab. See the “McLaren University Student User Guide for Leadership” for step by step instructions.
