Core I Programs
LDR102 Performance Measurement and Improvement – This course covers performance improvement systems theory and the performance improvement cycle. Data Management, Control Charts and Control Chart interpretation are also covered. The participant will develop a performance improvement project plan. (on-line)
LDR103 Finance in Healthcare – This course includes financial reporting, financial analysis and budgeting tools, and how decisions are made based on the utilization of these tools. (on-line)
LDR201 Employment and Labor Law – Participants will review basic employment and labor laws enabling them to identify potential issues and guidelines to avoid risk of claims. In addition, participates will learn how to investigate situations (e.g., disciplines, grievances, harassment), make sound decisions, and appropriately document investigations and decisions. This course consists of 3 on-line modules and a face-to-face class to answer questions and discuss case studies. The on-line modules must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face class. (on-line and 4-hour session)
LDR202 Strategic Recruitment, Interviewing and Selection – This course has been designed to implement a consistent “best practice” hiring process to assure a positive long term hiring outcome and basic elements of effective selection methods to identify the most qualified applicants.. (One 4-hour session)
LDR203-1 Performance Management Concepts – This course presents the leadership skills required to promote effective employee performance. Skills discussed include the importance of establishing performance expectations and goals, providing feedback and coaching, and evaluating performance results. (on-line)
LDR203-2 Performance Management Application – This is a follow-up program to review LDR203-1 Performance Management Concepts as they apply to the specific subsidiary. Content is subsidiary specific. (Session length may vary by subsidiary)
LDR204 Situational LeadershipTM – This course covers the process of planned influence. It is a diagnostic model that helps the leader understand the readiness level of others and take the most appropriate action. (One 8-hour session)
LDR205 Inspiring TrustTM (Covey) - Like a ripple in the pond, trust begins within each of us personally, continues into our relationships, expands into our organizations, extends into our marketplace relationships, and ultimately encompasses our global society at large. This workshop presents a road map to establish trust, build character and competence, enhance credibility, and create leadership that inspires confidence. (One 4-hour session)
LDR300 Crucial ConversationsTM – Learn how to communicate in crucial conversations--the ones that matter most; the ones that most affect results and relationships. Learn how to spot problems early, how to notice the process of the conversation, how to avoid the common problems associated with the alternatives to dialogue silence or violence. (Two 8-hour sessions)
LDR360 ComplianceforLeaders providesanindepthlookattheleader’sroleandresponsibility related to compliance at McLaren Health Care. You’ve been handed a search warrant for patient records – what do you do? Attend the compliance class and find out. You’ve been offered front row tickets to the playoffs from your favorite vendor – find out what policies and laws apply. (One 4-hour session)
