Reinvestment reforms passed in 2017. The group submitted a
                                                grant application in July 2019 to facilitate the coordinated
                                                provision of legal services.
                                            o  Create stakeholder group to identify alternative funding options
                                                Conversations included at Legal Aid Directors quarterly
                                                meeting to examine alternative funding through foundations
                                                and state entities (Kellogg, DCFS, etc.).


                          ■      The State Bar develops resources to ensure optimum funding of civil legal aid
                                 providers.
                                       Facilitate the work of the Technology Committee and Disaster and IFP
                                         Committees;
                                         Successfully obtained resolutions from the Louisiana legislature
                                         requesting the LSLI to examine the IFP statutes to determine whether
                                         revisions/clarifications may eliminate the variation in applications
                                         among judicial districts.
                                       Assess technical capacities of civil legal aid providers;
                                         Technology Committee developed assessment tool to determine
                                         statewide capacities.
                                       Assess statewide technology needs of the Civil Justice Community and
                                         develop priority list of possible initiatives and projects;
                                       Assess training needs and develop appropriate resources;
                                            o  Host annual Louisiana Justice Community Conference
                                                The 2019 Louisiana Justice Community Conference will be
                                                hosted at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center on October 10-11,
                                                2019.
                                            o  Provide targeted training throughout the year on public interest
                                                legal issues
                                                Facilitates the 2019 Substantive Law Training Series for Public
                                                Interest attorneys, providing CLEs in-person and via simulcast.
                                                Recorded trainings and made available online through the LSBA
                                                Vimeo page and ProBono.Net.  Trainings with materials on
                                                Family Law, Domestic Violence, Successions, Social Security
                                                Disability, Consumer and Bankruptcy are currently available.
                                       Coordinate the statewide legal services disaster response plan;
                                         Successfully tested new disaster response plan during Hurricane Barry.
                                       Identify and assess current substantive legal issues faced by civil legal
                                         aid providers; and
                                            o  Coordinate substantive law task forces (CINC, Elder Law, Family
                                                Law, Housing and Consumer Law, Public Benefits)
