It is the policy of the Louisiana State Bar Association to maintain a web site with the
domain name, www.LSBA.org, to provide LSBA members and the public with
information regarding the LSBA, attorneys, legal services, research, the law, and other
items of interest such as Association issues and events.

The Executive Director shall establish specific procedures for maintenance of the site
and its content.

D. Electronic Newsletters
It is the policy of the Louisiana State Bar Association to publish electronic newsletters
for its members.

1. The LSBA will use mass email communications through the following weekly
focused blasts:
a. LSBA CLE Newsletter
This newsletter will distribute a summary of upcoming CLE events and
Section/Division seminars. Each announcement will be brief with an
appropriate link to more information on the LSBA website. This will be
distributed to those individuals on the CLE distribution list.
b. LSBA Monthly Summary Newsletter
This newsletter will distribute a summary of news notices, upcoming special
events, activities of outside organizations and affiliate bar associations, and
general communication collected from appropriate sections of the LSBA
website. The newsletter will be distributed to everyone who has “opted in” to
the distribution list.

c. LSBA Member Benefits Newsletter
This newsletter will distribute a summary of member benefits, JobCore listings,
items of interest, committee meetings, and volunteer activities. The e-Bulletin
will be distributed to all LSBA members with an email address on file (and who
have not “opted out” of email).

E. Other Email Communications to Members
The following policies shall govern other mass emails to LSBA members.

1. Types of Additional Emails
Messages may be sent separately from the three regularly scheduled email blasts
with prior approval from the Communications Director. These “exempt emails”
may include notices of annual out-of-state CLEs, large-scale conferences, volunteer
opportunities, and seminars targeted to specific Sections and Divisions.

2. Scheduling
Only one (1) exempt email blast regarding any individual subject may be scheduled
per month (i.e., if an Annual Meeting promo is sent out in March, another cannot
