‘Wolfstein – The Old Blood’

Nearly a year after the dramatic ending of “Wolfenstein - The
New Order” comes another addition to the story released for
;ER[2QHDQG3OD\VWDWLRQ´:ROIHQVWHLQ7KH2OG%ORRGµ Your weekly guide
In this new story, you once again take on the role of William
B.J. Blazkowicz, a U.S. Special Forces operative.
7KHHYHQWVRIWKHVWRU\OLQHDUHVHWEHIRUHDQGOHDGGLUHFWO\XS movie, book, video game, music and all things
to the air raid of “Wolfenstein - The New Order” so in essence,
it is a prequel.
To put this story into a timeframe, it takes place after D-Day
DQGWKHVWRUPLQJRIWKH1RUPDQG\EHDFKHVEXWLQVWHDGRIWKH tions are worth their time. The Know a Critic
Allied forces winning D-Day, the Nazis defeat them with new
technology in this alternate timeline story.

to recover documents leading to the research station of “New
Order’s” villain.
While entering through the checkpoint, Blazkowicz has his

Castle Wolfenstein. Jager is a dog trainer and has a prized dog

life during an assassination attempt. The dogs he handles are all

prisoners and threatens to do the same to anyone who opposes
the Nazis. So immediately Blazkowicz has a target in mind to
remove.
After the encounter with Jager, Blazkowicz and Agent One
proceed into the castle still undercover. As with all great plans,
WKLQJVJRDZU\DQGWKH\KDYHWRVKRRWVWDEEOXGJHRQDQGÀJKW
their way out of the castle.

fer from the old game. Some of the weapons include a grenade

plus, with enough kills toward the perk, you can include a heavy
machinegun in your personal inventory.
´2OG%ORRGµZDVRULJLQDOO\JRLQJWREHUHOHDVHGDVGRZQORDG-
DEOH FRQWHQW IRU LWV SUHGHFHVVRU EXW LQVWHDG WKH GHYHORSHUV
released it for the same price as a DLC ($20) in disc format. It
presents different challenges than “New Order” and at times

were more limited to the latter. Trying to go stealth I felt I was
tripping over enemies every step of the way, often times to my
demise.
One of the things I felt was completely different from “New
Order” was the way the story drastically changed halfway
through the game. While the predecessor had a compelling story
and played out in a mostly realistic way, the “Old Blood” story
is a little mystical and crazy in parts.

lent and gory. This won’t distract many players from the game

I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed “New
Order” or just wants a fun story to play through.
