Scout reports

Brainard Traffic changes will begin Monday at the
Hatfield and Brainard intersection prior to the installation
access point to accommodate heavy truck traffic hauling
material for repairs at Libby Army Airfield.

Truck traffic will enter the Van Deman Gate (East
Gate) and will use a separate entrance to Brainard via a
special traffic control point. Motorists entering the instal-
lation through the Van Deman Gate are advised to not fol-
low the heavy truck traffic and should proceed to the gate
as usual.

Trucks will be exiting Brainard and merging onto Hat-
field to leave the installation. Motorists should be aware
of slower speeds and be prepared to stop. Flagmen will
assist with traffic control.

These traffic changes are expected to remain in place
Monday through Friday for approximately two months de-
pending on construction. Fort officials caution motorists
to drive defensively and obey all traffic control devices.
