Vets 4 Veterans is a local, grass-roots non-profit,
dedicated to empowering local veterans, who are
suffering the physical and psychological wounds
of war, to successfully reintegrate into the life of
the community.
We do this by awarding scholarships for higher
education, or job training, assessing and granting
assistance in cases of hardship or immediate
need, and we are working towards being able to
provide interim housing for qualifying vets so they
can have a home while attending college or job
training.
Vets 4 Veterans was founded by a group of
Vietnam combat veterans who were attending a
PTSD therapy group at the Antelope Valley Vet
Center. We learned through our own healing
process that “staying busy doing good” was where
we wanted to be.
Vets 4 Veterans Scholarship Fund
Each year, Vets 4 Veterans awards Scholarships
to deserving veterans who are attending
Antelope Valley College. These scholarships are
awarded through the Antelope Valley Scholarship
Foundation. Vets 4 Veterans offers the only
scholarships designated specifically and solely
for veterans. As of this date, Vets 4 Veterans has
awarded over $10,000 in scholarships to local
veterans. We learned the meaning and the action
of the word altruism.
