Operations Update
COVID-19: Five months on from
the outbreak, the Operations team across Customer Services, 3rd Party Logistics(3PL), Commercial Operations, Demand Planning have all adapted brilliantly to support the huge uplift in the sales line.
To put into context, the Customer Services team, through the four months of March to June, have processed 30% more customer lines than last year. Each month has witnessed more demand than the peak Xmas month last year!
We still face stock shortages on certain key, high activity lines, from various Brand Owners. The teams will continue to work collaboratively with Sales & Commercial, Brand Owners and Customers to provide as much stock as possible, and where there are shortages allocate stock as agreed by the business. The ask is for the
communication to remain high across all these teams - as stock constraints are likely to continue for some time on certain lines.
Huge thanks to the above mentioned teams for all their hard work and effort through this very difficult period and supporting the business in delivering the huge sales growth at the half year of 20% up on budget and 37% up on last year.
Commercial Operations Team
In readiness for Gazelle, with new planning tools and processes, the Commercial Operations Team has completed a mini restructure.
I am delighted to announce that following an increase in his responsibilities, Sean Cunningham has transitioned to the role of Head of Planning for SHS GB. The planning team has been increased with two new
