People Update
The Alzheimer’s Society
At the beginning of this crisis we shared some information about the way their services have adapted to the crisis. A lot has happened during that time so here is a brief update below:
Their dementia advisors have made over 100,000 welfare calls since lockdown began, guiding thousands of people affected by dementia through uncertain times
Over 12,600 companion calls have been made to people affected by dementia to reduce feelings of isolation and offer companionship
  There have now been over
325,000 views of their
coronavirus advice for people affected by dementia on their website
We are all aware that it is hard to fundraise right now, but there are still other ways you can support them. Simply liking and sharing their posts on your social media platform of choice or just using the Instagram filter would make an enormous difference!
• Find the filter on the Alzheimer’s Society Instagram homepage
• Click the smiley face above the photos.
• Use the filter, sing a song and share your video Text SING to
70660 to donate £3 (optional)*
• Tag 3 friends and nominate them to take on the challenge
• Tag @alzheimerssoc using #SingingForTheBrain so they can
see your performances!
If you would like to fundraise by doing any individual or group challenges then please get in touch via email: MandersonHouseCharityCommittee@shs-group.co.uk
Many Thanks
