⇒ DISCRIPTION;This is usually a tree
of up to 30 m in height. Its charac-

teristic feature is the scattered, ir-
regularly shaped knobs on the
trunk and large branches. The leaf-

lets are uncharacteristically large,
(up to 30 mm long by 20 mm wide),

normally two pairs of pinnae per
leaf.

⇒ USES;The tree is extremely fire re-

sistant and is therefore an excellent
firewood. The leaves are eaten ea-
gerly by browsers.
