Do you know how culture can influence in many aspects of
your life? (Question) Ethnic identity is a reflection of important

things that we experience through time, and made the person we
are now. In my life I go through many experiences that changed
me in many ways, but now I can describe myself as a Latin,
atheist, and feminist women.

I’m proud to say I’m Latin. I was born on Ambato, Ecuador. A
wonderful city that reflects most of its citizen’s personalities. I
feel very comfortable here and I love my city. [In contrast], when

I travel abroad and meet new people most of them think I’m
Mexican. This is because they had a stereotype of Latin people.
[Also], they think that Latin people are no serious and prefer to
go to parties.

I feel comfortable to say I’m a atheist person. I grow up in a
catholic family. [Also], I studied in a catholic high school. [Even
though], I was not sure about that knowledge, so I search for

myself. As I expend most of my time in Internet, I found many
people that answer my question.
I can say that I’m a non-modern feminist. This is because I live

in a machist society. And [for this reason], I started to study a lot
about woman’s rights. [Also], I started to change this society by
myself. Every day when I walk for the streets and listens to

someone inappropriate things I only ignored him.
[As a conclusion], culture and society influence in our
personalities such as our religion, ideals, and the way we saw
ourselves. We need to feel proud about our culture and ethnic

identity because that is an important influence in our life.
