Lupin Employee Handbook
Inclement Weather/Emergency Closures
Lupin has an inclement weather procedure in place for its various locations. Management will
determine, based on weather conditions, whether an office or facility will close and employees
will be notified of any such closures.
Should the office remain open during inclement weather, employees are expected to use caution
and discretion based on their individual situation and determine whether or not it is feasible to
commute to work. In the event of inclement weather, employees should contact their
supervisor/manager if they will be unable to commute to work.
If the office closes for inclement weather, employees will be paid their normal salary or wages for
hours scheduled to work and are not expected to use PTO for their absence. If the office is open
and an employee uses his or her discretion to stay home, PTO, if available, must be used to cover
the employee’s absence (unless the employee is in a position that allows for remote work and the
employee obtains approval to work from home).
Employee Records
Lupin maintains employment files for each employee. All employee records are confidential and
company property. Information from employee files other than verification of employment dates
and position title will not be released to any third party or organization without the employee’s
specific written consent, unless requested by a government agency of under a subpoena or
otherwise required by applicable law. Employees are not permitted access to their employment
files or the files of any other employee unless related to the employee’s job responsibilities or
required by applicable law. Employees may request from HR a copy of any agreements the
employee executed. Any other requests to view or obtain copies of documents contained in an
employee’s employment file must be made to HR with a description of the requested
documentation and an explanation of the employee’s need to obtain the documentation. Any such
requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law.
Current, accurate records are essential documents for both you and the Company. You are
responsible for keeping all records up-to-date. Please advise HR immediately if there are any
