For fast mooring of a craft to a pile, use
the pile hitch. By tying the knot midline,
tension can be pulled in two directions
from the knot, making this great for
putting up a barrier rope between a series
of uprights. It has numerous other uses,
such as tying a tent line to a stake. It unties
                   with extreme ease.
