Definition of narrative Essay
According to González, (2005). "The short narrative essay can be
used as an instrument to evaluate the cognitive skills of a writer,
which empowers him to organize and develop a discursive
narrative in writing, from a perceptual and conceptual scaffolding
prior." Pag 8. (translation made by the authors). According to this
definition, therefore, through the narrative essay a writer can tell
a story from his own point of view, an autobiography, o personal
essay or story; the narrative approach, more than any other,
offers writers the opportunity to think and write about
themselves. It is a process that involves cognitive variables such
as strategy, reflection, self-regulation, and creativity. All of us
have experiences lodged in our memories, which are worthy of
sharing with the readers.
