Not only can you get involved and
join a group, but there are many
events constantly running for
people to go watch and hang out
with friends. For example, the
battle of Waterloo is always a fun
event that many students and
community members go to see.
The battle of Waterloo is held
when the University of Waterloo
plays against Laurier University in
sports. It’s a huge rivalry and
brings students together while
cheering for their school.

I, Alexa Miller one of the authors of
this article, recently went to an
event run by fashion for change.
My friend joined this group, and
has really enjoyed it since. This
club is a non-profit organization
which runs a fashion show to raise
money for the community. The
event I went to was a premier party
for the fashion show to unveil the
theme of the fashion show. It was a
lot of fun and I was able to meet a
lot of new people. This is just an
