Sciences 10, 20 and 30 level, each 5 CREDITS
Sciences 10, 20 and 30 are an academic course alignment designed for students who plan to eventually continue
on to post-secondary education (trades, college, and university); however the curriculum is less intensive than
each of the core science diploma courses.
At the end of this course, students will write the Science 30 Diploma Exam
Sciences 14 and 24, each 5 CREDIT courses
Science 14 and 24 are designed for those students who want to meet their science credit requirements without
having to take biology, chemistry or physics. It is a basic course, making sure that students have the fundamental
science skills to relate issues and our world; this alignment does not lead to college/university admission.
Chemistry 20 and 30 Level, each 5 CREDITS
Chemistry 20 and 30 is an academic aligned program that is designed to give the
students an overview of many topics in chemistry, as well as develop scientific
thinking and laboratory skills.
At the end of this course, students will write the Chemistry 30 Diploma Exam.
Physics 20 and 30 level, each 5 CREDITS
Physics 20 and 30 are academics aligned programs for students with keen
aspects for the physical world and pre-engineering. Students will be made
aware of the tremendous impact of science and technology on society, but at
the same time, become aware of the roles and limitations of physics, science in general, and technology in problem
solving.
At the end of this course, students will write the Physics 30 Diploma Exam.
Biology 20 and 30 level, each 5 CREDITS
Biology 20 and 30 are designed for motivated students with a keen interest in biology. It is an academic science
course that is designed to give the students an in depth look at many topics in biology, as well as further develop
scientific thinking and laboratory skills. .
At the end of this course alignment students will write the Biology 30 Diploma Exam.
For alternative level Science Knowledge & Employability (K&E) programs 10-4, 20-4 &
30-4, each are 5 CREDITS courses,
