◆ ◆ 2019 marks first season in Angels organization as Coaching Assistant/Instant Replay Coordinator, following
appointment on Jan. 3 (replacing Andrew Bailey, who became Halos Bullpen Coach)...From 2014-17, was a
member of Brad Ausmus’ Major League staff in Detroit as Defensive Coordinator...During time with Tigers,
assisted coaching staff with all on-field arrangements, as well as with coordination of all advanced scouting
information...Prior to joining Detroit’s staff, served 22 seasons as either a minor league coach, manager or
instructor...Was Orioles Minor League Infield Instructor in 2013 and also held same position for Baltimore in
2004...In 2012, was Dodgers Minor League Coordinator of Instruction and managed their Arizona Summer
League team...Spent five seasons (2007-11) as Dodgers Minor League Infield Coordinator...Served as manager
for Gulf Coast League Yankees in 2006 after being the team’s hitting coach in 2005...Was Double-A hitting coach
in Detroit system from 1998-2003...Began 1997 as a roving Infield Instructor for Detroit before managing their
New York-Penn League affiliate in Jamestown for second half of year after manager Dwight Lowry tragically

passed away from a heart attack at age 39 on July 10...Gained first managerial experience in 1996 with
Cincinnati’s Pioneer League affiliate in Billings.

University...During time with Detroit, was active in community, attending Tigers Winter Caravan and Tigerfest...
Also worked with Tigers Dreams Come True and Keeping Kids in the Game programs.
