COACHING Highlights
◆ ◆ 2019 marks second season as the Club’s bench coach
and first under manager Brad Ausmus...Initially added
to Angels coaching staff in 2018 as Mike Scioscia’s bench
coach following three seasons (2015-17) as the Yankee’s
minor league catching coordinator...From 2011-14, was a
professional scout for the Yankees organization...In 2010,
managed Single-A Staten Island to a 34-40 record...Several
future Major Leaguers were on Club including C Gary
Sanchez...In first season as manager of Single-A Staten

title since 2006.
PLAYING CAREER & Misc
◆ ◆ Played in parts of nine seasons for the White Sox (1999-
2003), Cubs (2003), Angels (2004-05) and Devil Rays (2006-
07)…Posted a .244 (174/713) average with 35 doubles, two
triples, 10 home runs and 73 RBI...In two seasons with the
Angels, appeared in 80 games while batting .224 (24/107) with four doubles, four home runs and 14
RBI...Appeared in two games with the Halos during the 2005 postseason run, both as a defensive
replacement...Originally drafted by the White Sox in the second round of the 1996 First-Year Player
Draft out of Vanderbilt University...Inducted into Cape Cod League Hall of Fame in 2006 as the only
player in the league history to win the batting title, MVP Award and Outstanding Pro Prospect Award
in the same season (1995)...Prepped at Buffalo Grove High School (NY)...He and wife Heather have
two children and reside in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
