dependents and provides access to information and resources to help you make informed
plan and coverage decisions. Please review this Guide with your family and use the tools
inside to assist you in answering the questions you may have about various offerings.
ELIGIBILITY SUMMARY
In general, regular TCW U.S. employees who regularly work at least 30 hours per week are
eligible.
As an eligible employee, you may enroll your family members (“eligible dependents”) in your
health care plans. Eligible dependents include your:
• Spouse or qualified domestic partner*
• Children under age 26 or any age if permanently, totally disabled and chiefly dependent
upon you for support and maintenance due to physical or mental incapacity. The term
“children” includes:
» biological or adopted children (including children placed in your home for adoption);
» stepchildren (and domestic partner’s children, if the domestic partner is covered); and
» children for whom you are responsible to provide health coverage under a qualified
medical child support order (“QMCSO”).
*Under current law, coverage for a domestic partner must be paid with post-tax dollars. Contact
HR for definition of qualified domestic partner.

Coverage for new employees and their dependents who meet the eligibility requirements
is effective the first day of the month coinciding with or following their start date. Eligible
new-hires must complete the full online enrollment process and make benefit elections within
31 days of their hire date.
