OTHER BENEFITS
Paid Time Away from Work
Burnham recognizes that taking time away from work to re-charge is an important part of work-life balance. We
offer several ways for employees to take paid time away from work.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Regular full-time employees who work at least 37.5 hours per week begin accruing PTO benefits on a semi-
monthly payroll period basis from their date of hire.
Part-time and temporary employees are not eligible for PTO benefits. Vice Presidents and above are not eligible
for and do not accrue PTO benefits, but are however allowed to take personal time off with pay with prior
approval from the President of Burnham.
Eligible employees may begin using their available PTO benefits on the 90th day of employment and after
accruing sufficient PTO benefits to take personal time off from work. Employees may not borrow or receive an
advance in PTO benefits that have not been earned or accrued.
Based on length of continuous service, the following PTO accrual schedule is based on regular full-time
employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 37.5 hours per week:

Paid Holidays
Burnham observes the following holidays each year:
• New Year’s Day (January 1) • Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
• Presidents’ Day (Third Monday in February) • Day After Thanksgiving
• Good Friday (half-day) • Christmas Eve (December 24)
• Memorial Day (Last Monday in May) • Christmas Day (December 25)
• Independence Day (July 4th) • New Year’s Eve (December 31)
• Labor Day (First Monday in September)
Personal Holiday
Regular full time and part time employees may take one personal holiday each year after completing 90 days of
continuous employment.
