                    Firm’s Expertise
                    As an employee benefits only consulting firm, we remain dedicated and focused on our clients’
                    health and welfare plans. Other firms have property and casualty lines of business and, in a cyclical
                    market, resources can be constrained for benefits due to other lines of business declining revenue.
                    We always remain focused on employee benefits. We are also privately held, so our decisions are
                    made with a long-term focus, not to achieve a quarterly result for stockholders or maximize profit
                    margins.

                      Consumer-driven            Consumer-driven health plans are an effective way to make
                      plans                      healthcare consumers more aware of their utilization.
                                                 Implementing such plans results in a discounted premium as well
                                                 as lower expenditures. Burnham Benefits has been working with
                                                 our clients for nearly a decade assessing and implementing
                                                 medical plans which incorporate Health Savings Accounts (HSAs),
                                                 Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) and other plans.

                      Self-insured               Approximately one-quarter of Burnham’s book of business is self-
                      programs                   funded or in an alternatively funded arrangement. Our
                                                 underwriting team and account executives have the experience
                                                 required to effectively execute such plans. Our reporting is
                                                 tailored to clients’ needs.


                      Legal Compliance           We understand that our clients expect and deserve compliance

                                                 services. Burnham employs a full-time ERISA attorney/compliance
                                                 director as well as team of underwriters who work together to
                                                 ensure that Burnham team members and our clients are well-
                                                 versed and understand risks and what must be done to stay
                                                 compliant. We support our clients with financial modeling
                                                 including pay-or-play which became effective in 2014. We also
                                                 keep clients apprised with emails and webinars.


                      Implementation of          Benefits administration system and ACA reporting systems are a
