Benefits For Work and Life Balance
TIME OFF BENEFITS
Parsons | Paid Holidays
Parsons generally observes seven major national holidays, closing its US offices on New Years’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. In addition, annually, Parsons’ management will
normally announce an eighth “floating” holiday. Employees of Parsons Government Services (PGS) and PGS subsidiaries observe up
to 10 federal government holidays as designated by PGS management.
If you are a regular full-time employee, you are eligible for up to the number of hours you are regularly scheduled to work on the
designated holiday. If you are a part-time regular employee, your holiday pay will be prorated in relationship to the hours you
would have normally worked on that day during that workweek. If you are on an alternative workweek schedule and the holiday
falls on a day which you are already scheduled as an unpaid day off, you are not authorized to charge holiday. All employees
working in Parsons’ facilities will have the entire day off on a designated holiday, except in unusual cases where management
identifies a critical project or business need requiring selected employees to come to work.
The guidelines and rules regarding Paid Holidays are explained in the Corporate Policy, Paid Holiday, available on the PWeb home
page under Employee Services and Benefits at https://pweb.parsons.com/benefits/Pages/Holiday-Schedules.aspx.
