THE VALUE OF THANKS

Your network and the relationships you build is what drives success. On a daily basis we ask a lot of our
teams, carriers, and our partners but are we consistently taking the time to give back? Writing an
unexpected “thank you” for a job well to a team member, setting up a lunch to introduce two of your Power
Partners that sole benefits them, or simply picking up the phone and calling a carrier who helped you deal
with a tough client situation are all ways we can show gratitude and build good will. When was the last time
you made good will deposits to your network? These deposits are important but not urgent and often get
pushed aside for more pressing day to day issues that arise. A recent quote from Forbes reminds us
“Generosity is contagious. When leaders show appreciation and gratitude, there’s likely to be a ripple effect.
Studies show cooperative and altruistic behavior spreads from person to person. Showing gratitude toward
someone is likely to inspire that person to thank other people.”
