WORKSHEET # 12 (B)
Living the Philosophy
I have compiled a list of ways in which you can nurture yourself. While you can do
some of these things daily, others you will do only occasionally. Each one is just as
important as the next, though. Over the next few weeks try to do each one of these at
least once. Put a check next to the ones you have completed.
Get out of bed 30 minutes before the rest of your family does and read
something you ENJOY.
Get a babysitter once a month and go out with your husband or a
friend. You may do this alone, if you like.
Make a monthly appointment with your kids to do something they
enjoy. Let them choose the activity.
Walk instead of driving to the corner store for milk. This gives you time
to reflect on the day's events.
Exercise often. This is great for your body, mind and soul
Book some “ME!” time once a month for a bubble bath or trip to the
salon. Write it on your calendar just as you would any other important
appointment.
Hire someone to help with household chores if you feel bogged down by
them. If you can’t afford that try delegating some of your chores to your
husband and children.
Make plans to do something you have always wanted to do. This could
be As simple as taking a course or as extravagant as travelling to an
exotic Island.
Eat Sensibly. When your body is healthy, you will feel better
emotionally and spiritually, as well.
