ABSTRACT
The present investigation contains an analysis of eighteen sites of the city of Guayaquil, whose main
objective is to rescue the historical value of the tourist and cultural spaces of the city of Guayaquil,
focused on the historical and cultural revaluation that make up the tourist activity of the places chosen
under instruments that make operational the intrinsic rational management of heritage resources such
as plazas, churches, streets, monuments, buildings, parks, etc., made compatible with tourist use.
The methodology used is a non-experimental qualitative approach, through descriptive research. For
the collection of primary information was based on interviews and non-participant observation with the
population, on the other hand, as a technique of data collection the survey was applied and to support
the exploration was taken into account bibliographical sources that theoretically support the work
giving as result the analysis of the positive and negative aspects, culminating in a proposal.
INTRODUCCIÓN
El Ecuador a través de sus cuatro mundos se impone como un país rico en biodiversidad, naturaleza,
y paraísos patrimoniales, que lo convierten en un punto estratégico para disfrutar y vivir experiencias
únicas con turistas locales y extranjeros. La costa ecuatoriana alberga varias ciudades con destinos
naturales y culturales, entre ellas, Guayaquil. El siguiente documento investigativo, examina una
nueva visión para rescatar el valor histórico de: Iglesia San Agustín, Barrio del Astillero, Barrio las
Peñas, Museo municipal, Monumento a Olmedo, Biblioteca Municipal, Parque Seminario, La Torre
del Reloj, Fragua de Vulcano, Catedral, Palacio Municipal, Hemiciclo de la Rotonda, Palacio de Cristal,
Monumento a Pedro Carbo, Cementerio Patrimonial, Av. 9 de Octubre, Iglesia Santo Domingo de
Guzmán y Monumento a Vicente Rocafuerte, analizando en primer lugar los contenidos auténticos
apoyados con datos relevantes seguido de los aspectos negativos encontrados en cada sitio escogido
para luego detallar la propuesta a cada realidad analizada. Finalmente se expone las conclusiones y
recomendaciones, de esta manera dejar plasmado posibles soluciones para ayudar al mejoramiento
y cuidado del lugar de una forma ordenada, sostenible y sustentable.
