Literary week

Reading Week Celebration:
A major part of a child’s education
encompasses reading as a skill that
enhances the ability to interpret, imagine
and reinvent. The role of educators is to
rekindle the spirit of reading in children.

The students of Sri Jayendra Saraswathy
Vidyalaya took up the challenge of
organising the reading activities
recommended by the CBSE Board from 8 th
September, 2020 to 14 th September,
2020. Various reading activities like Round
the Robin, Reading Thorn, Timeline, Book
Buddies and Readebate served the
purpose of education and entertainment.

Bharathiyar Memorial Day

Children took part in the competitions with zeal
and enthusiasm. To pay tribute and to
celebrate the poetic prowess of Mahakavi
Subramaniya Bharathiyar, The Mahakavi
Memorial Day was celebrated on September
11. Various activities like Singing, Recitation and
speech were conducted to appreciate
Bharathiyar’s contribution to Tamil Literature.

Tamil Competition results

Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on the 14th of
September, to commemorate the adoption of
Hindi in Devanagari script as one of the
official language indifferent Hindi speaking
states of India. To make children aware of the
importance of learning Hindi, various
activities like Recitation, Poster Making, Story
Telling, Patriotic Song and Speech were
conducted in Hindi.
