been no big deal. In today’s connected world, however, we found it almost impos- sible to cope with my lack of connectivity when not in the office. With modern smartphones, you can carry around instant email access right in your pocket. There are a number of email apps for every device. Exchange works with almost all of them. Microsoft even has the popular Outlook email client for your iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
From your Outlook email client
The Outlook application that so many people use day in and day out for email, meetings, tasks, and contacts continues to work the same way with Exchange Online but with some added bonuses. In particular, you get an even tighter inte- gration with the other products that are part of the Office 365 offering. For exam- ple, you may have a task list that is part of SharePoint. To integrate your SharePoint tasks with Outlook, you navigate to the SharePoint Online list and click a button that says Connect To Outlook. Bingo. Your SharePoint tasks now show up in your Outlook Tasks folder.
From the web
In addition to accessing Exchange from your Outlook client, you can also use your web browser. When you use your web browser to access Exchange, you are using what has been termed the Outlook Web App (OWA). Office 365 provides a rich experience for working with enterprise email right from the browser. Using the Edge browser to access the Outlook Web App is shown in Figure 3-2.
