recreation room. The space must be devoted en-
tirely to gunsmithing business.
On the other hand, if you plan to work on fire-
arms only for yourself, you can locate the “shop”
any place you like—even in your own living room.
The average gunsmith will perform a variety
of work on firearms, covering the entire field
involving troubleshooting, stock finishing,
rebluing, stock checkering, firearm cleaning, re-
barreling, chambering, soldering and welding,
just to name a few. The ideal shop should be
equipped to take care of all these jobs conve-
niently and efficiently.
This lesson is designed to show you how to
equip a gun shop, even if your space is limit-
ed. We will begin with the very smallest home
shops and progress to shops that are suitable for
factory warranty stations and that will accom-
modate several employees.
