         BEING INNOVATORS & INFLUENCERS

         EventShaper are keen to be at the forefront of industry innovation and change. We believe that by having our
         voice heard within the industry means that we can facilitate actual change that benefits our client’s as well as
         the industry as a whole. It also ensures we keep up to date with the most recent developments within Events.
         With this in mind, we are on the current Boards and Committees.

         Lou– ESSA Vice-Chair
         The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), a trade body representing the very best suppliers of goods
         and services to the events industry. With a focus on Health & Safety, education, business development and
         driving excellence and shared best practice, ESSA and its members sit at the centre of the events community
         both in the UK and overseas.

         Helen – Ops Working Group – AEO
         Ops Working Group members are responsible for identifying, understanding and resolving issues that may
         affect organisers on an operational level. This may include but is not limited to:
         • Health and Safety issues
         • Collaborating with venues on managing legislation by putting into place clear procedures to ensure both
         parties are meeting the correct expectations and taking equal responsibility. Food hygiene and security are key
         areas that have been looked at, with successful outcomes.
         • Taking responsibility for feeding back and making recommendations on areas of interest in line with the
         consensus view of the group on matter such as the Eguide, electrical installations and testing and reviewing
         HSE CDM. It is aimed at attracting those in a senior operations role within a business.

         Daniela– Futures Focus Board - ESSA
         To define, identify and capture ESSA members' wants and needs, with a focus on all aspects of talent
         development and retention, recruitment, skills/training and employee nurturing.

         The ESSA Future Focus Board is composed of young industry professionals, and given autonomy in its decision
         making and spending. Its initial remit was to devise strategies, campaigns and initiatives to promote careers in
         the event industry, and raise awareness of the enormous variety of roles available. It is currently conducting its
         first piece of industry research into employment conditions and perceptions.

         Tabitha– Technical Committee Electrics
         Discusses current technical issues, focusing on temporary electrical installations at events, discussing risk and
         defining their collective findings and suggested methodologies.
         This cross-association group (with AEO and ESSA members) meet to discuss current technical issues, focusing

         suggested methodologies. This group also feeds into the eGuide.

         Lucy – AEV Sustainability Working Group
         Focuses on the important issues around sustainability and to work together to help reduce the event industry’s
         impact on the environment. This cross-association group (with AEO and ESSA members) meet to discuss the
         important issue of sustainability, and how they can all work together to help reduce the event industry’s impact
         on the environment.
