The Best Man
Arriving on horseback to their reception Groom Benjamin helps his bride Kara get down off her retired racehorse Rocket Warning while Briar Perkins & Ramon Dominguez Jr. hold him and 20 year old horse Stoney
From pleasure riding to being the “best man” of sorts at a wedding it is always amazing to see what retired Thoroughbreds are doing after their racing careers.
Briar Perkins and Ramon Dominguez Jr. owned and raced Rocket Warning at Woodbine until retiring him at the age of ve the year after his maiden breaking season.
The now 7 year-old son of Weather Warning - Listowel Lover, by Langfuhr is owned by Briar’s childhood neighbour and friend, Kara, who was recently married to Benjamin Bruce in September.
Arriving on horseback to their wedding reception, Kara aboard Rocket Warning and Ben aboard Briar’s 20 year-old Quarter Horse - Arabian cross, Stoney, they delighted their guests who were waiting for the newlyweds at a renovated old barn on Ben’s family farm in Erin, Ontario.
