Science, Medicine & Engineering Senior Global Director, Medtronic Philanthropy
Sylvia, yet another example of an expatriate black Briton
doing great things in the United States, leads on the
execution of a new philanthropy model that was designed
to enable Medtronic PLC to consistently deliver 2 per cent of

Since taking up the post 15 months ago, Sylvia, who
started as a sales rep at Medtronic in 2001, has further
expanded Medtronic’s impact by consistently delivering
structured and sustainable global philanthropic
programmes that build capacity in underserved
communities, while increasing access to healthcare.
Sylvia is focused on using her story and knowledge
