Duane is my favorite cashier! I wait in his lane even if other lanes have no waiting just to have a

brief chat with him. I used to live in Westmont, but then my husband's job transferred him and
we moved to Knoxville, TN almost two years ago. My parents live in Oak Brook and when I visit

them, like I am doing now, I often stop at Jewel for groceries and always look for Duane. He is
such a sweet man with a tender heart and special spirit. Today he told me his Doctor says he will
live to 110. I hope so. I look forward to seeing him many more years to come. He is a part of my

home town visits that makes me feel like I never left.
