I am a long time Jewel customer (my local store is in Palatine on Dundee).
My sister Nicole Z. works P-T at your store in Clarendon Hills. She has a learning disability, which has
limited the types of work she can perform. Nicole lives in a group home in Downers Grove with
other adults with their own various disabilities.
The management team in Hinsdale, including Marty H., Denese Mc. and others, treat my sister with
respect and encouragement.
It is AWESOME that Jewel employs my sister Nicole and other people with developmental
disabilities. You afford my sister things many people take for granted, like the opportunity to earn
money, a sense of self-worth and optimism for the future. My thanks to those involved in the hiring
process – they are changing lives, one hire at a time.
