Page 13 - How to stay healthy in an unhealthy world
P. 13
I continued on this way of life for pretty much the rest of my life.
From 1984 (age 28) to today (age 60) I have literally not taken any medical drugs. Not even a headache tablet.
I followed this way of eating and living for the first 20 years after changing my diet and lifestyle. In the last 10 years I started eating seafood again, and for a period of 10 years after a divorce and another relationship disaster straight after, I went out and also drank alcohol again. And I mean drank . . .
including shots, cocktails and partying almost every night for about 6 years.
During the day I would still have my raw juices and salads and stick to my healthy diet, but at night I changed completely. I even partied and drank alcohol EVERY night for 90 days when I was about 55 years old.
Thenmybodyjustsaid ...ENOUGH... And I was sick in bed for a week. It didn’t take a doctor or a genius to know what caused my body to get sick.
So what I did next, was to start drinking more fresh juices again and then I pretty much stopped drinking again, got engaged to an amazing girl and decided to write this book.
So as you can see, I am NOT totally against ALL medical treatments, (Only about 97% of them) . I believe that the medical business actually has a place in managing our health and is good for 3 things . . .
Here is one book on eating raw: Ten years ago, Carol Alt was feeling bad. Really bad. She had chronic headaches, sinusitis, and stomach ailments; she was tired and listless. And then Carol started eating raw - and changed her life. Eating In The Raw begins with her story and then presents practical, how-to information on everything you need to know about the exciting movement that’s been embraced by Demi Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Sting, Edward Norton, and legions of other health-minded people.
No, I am NOT a ‘boring’ vegetarian.
I DO drink, and I am good at it. . . but I also know the risk and the CURE if I get sick!!
